Step 1: Recognizing the Letter Khay (خ)

Before we start writing, let’s take a look at what Khay (خ) looks like. It has a unique shape that can be fun to draw once you get the hang of it! Show your child the letter in both uppercase and lowercase, and encourage them to trace over it with their finger.

Tip: Use flashcards with the letter خ on one side and a picture of something that starts with the sound “kh,” like kharbooza (خربوزہ) for melon or khargosh (خرگوش) for rabbit.


Step 2: Writing the Letter Khay (خ)

Now that we can recognize the letter, it’s time to practice writing it. Follow these steps:

  1. Start with a Dot: Begin by making a small dot as a reference to where the خ should start.
  2. Draw the Curve: Start drawing a small curve from left to right, then loop back up to the left in a curved motion.

  4. Add the Dot Above: Don’t forget to place a single dot above the letter to complete it!
